    Mistura de ritmos tradicionais, clássicos da resistência, reggae, rap, funk e rock, Galaxy é o grupo mais importante da música moderna timorense e faz a sua estreia europeia em Sines.

    Vemo-lo há décadas na televisão e continua a não deixar-nos indiferentes: o olhar, magnético de esperança, dos jovens de Timor-Leste. Nascido numa casa desfeita pela guerra na cidade de Lospalos, o mais destacado projecto da música moderna do seu país é uma história exemplar do Timor pós-independência. Nem sempre compreendidos pelos mais velhos, mas idolatrados pela nova geração, os Galaxy são Melchior Dias Fernandes (voz), Etson Caminha (baixo e voz), Ajitu Carvalho (bateria e voz), Leo Marcal (guitarra) e Lely Barreto (voz) e a sua música é uma mistura de ritmos tradicionais do povo Fataluku, clássicos da resistência, reggae, rap, funk e rock. As canções têm letras que saboreiam a dádiva da democracia e nenhum dos problemas que encontram na sociedade de Timor é tabu, da pobreza à corrupção. Actualmente baseados em Dili, ocupam o tempo entre o estúdio e os concertos na escola Arte Moris, onde ensinam música e artes visuais. O concerto de Sines é a estreia de Galaxy em palcos portugueses e europeus e tem o alto patrocínio da Presidência e do governo de Timor-Leste.
