Translation - thanks to Balthasar Kehi, Alarico da Sena and Maria Araujo for both paid and voluntary work.
Content for suaimediaspace has been put together and maintained by S_Mag - the Suai Media Arts Group. We are working in collaboration with our community in Pt Phillip and YoMaTre the Youth Media Centre in the Suai Youth Centre in the south-west of East Timor.
Partners, sponsors and significant contributors include: Friends of Suai, St Kilda Library, Timor Aid, Asia Pacific Support Collective (APSC), St Kilda Youth Services, and Internet Guru John Pierce.
Caroline Farmer and Stephen Ficai were awarded Drought Logies this year (2008) for coming to the rescue and contributing funds for the media workshop in Suai in June. Susan Humphries gets a bouquet for helping with the hopelessly unsuccessful (so far
) funding proposals to half a dozen philanthropic organisations.
My ‘Friendship Award’ goes to Lee Kirk an original member of APSC and the first Co-ordinator of the Friends of Suai in Pt Phillip.
