Remembrance and acts of remembrance are a vital part of any culture. In a society where massacres have been commonplace since 1975 it is vital. In any country involved in war Remembrance is vital. Australia’s role in East Timor’s losses and struggles means we have been linked through the crimson threads of shared loss since World War 2.
